Riding..the Tyler Pearce Way
Tyler Pearce, AKA the Vegan Cyclist, is on a mission. Well, he's on all sorts of missions. Earlier this year, his mission was to ride from Canada to Mexico in 9 days. A solo trek that became a beautiful communal experience where people who followed his ride would show up along the route to feed him or ride support with him. A crazy adventure that built community. As the owner/operator of VC Adventures, Tyler's mission is to offer a different sort of guide experiences. He curates one-on-one cycling adventures that can be as intense as the client wants. Maybe not the 9 -day, 13-hour, and 15-minute sort of intensity of the Can>Mex ride, but something just as spectacular.

Get to Know a Pro: A Q+A with Holly Mackin
From mopping floors at Jackson Hole's The Juicery to leading trips for Jackson Hole Mountain Guides, Holly Mackin has a story to tell. Her guiding life is centered on the idea that sharing these wild places with others is what living is about. She is inspired by her clients who seek new challenges, new vistas, and new perspectives that naturally come with adventures in the outdoors. Committed to helping more women succeed in the guiding world and fueled by a desire to see more women in the backcountry, Holly heads up the women's programming for Jackson Hole Mountain guides, running all-female trips in Moab and Jackson. She is also a driving force for the Women's Network, a community of women working in the guiding space and leading trips for women. "It's about breaking down the barriers to making it possible for women to make a living as a guide, and it's about making the backcountry experience more approachable for women interested in honing their skills or trying something new. Often, women new to or building their skills in outdoor adventuring will take chances in all-female trips before they will in mixed groups." In short The Women's Network is about empowering the women who guide and the women who seek adventure.

Get 'Em Hooked Early!
Some girls get to have all the fun! In early September, some very lucky girls—from 8 years old to 14 years old—were on the water in Sun Valley, Idaho, learning the basics of fly fishing and the importance of being good stewards of river ecosystems. Expert guides were on-hand to share their passion for fishing and their well-earned expertise with these future fly fishers.

Riding... For a Cause
Best Buddies Breakaway Camps are epic riding adventures with pro-level coaching. Cache_Seven joined the Aspen Breakaway camp in September and while the riding was, indeed, epic, we were there to support Best Buddies International and the work they do to end the social, physical and economic isolation of the 200 million people worldwide with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Their programs empower people with IDD to form meaningful friendships with their peers, secure jobs, improve communication and advocacy skills, and live independently, while also offering support for their families. We'll ride to that!

We Love Nantucket Race Week!
Here's the thing: pursuing a life of outdoor adventure can come with many hurdles. Geography, time, and cost to name a few. Sailing is one of the outdoor pursuits with a long line of hurdles. You have to live near the water and have access to the equipment and instruction. That ain’t cheap. Events like Nantucket Race Week help to support Nantucket Community Sailing, a program that ensures access to sailing for people of all ages living on island.
Cache_Seven is proud to be one of the sponsors of Nantucket Race Week because, well, it’s always a good thing to stoke someone’s fire.
As Cache_Seven grows, you’ll see new features, new partnerships, and more.
Stay in the know.
