Andy Hurdman is a professional kitesurfer, world class wakeboarder, avid surfer and one of the worlds most skilled foil boarders. He’s passionate about sharing his love for the water and has been dedicated to coaching for 20 years. Andy has been featured on Discovery Channel’s kiteboarding series ‘Catching Air’ and has competed across the globe, making the podium in many events including the world class Red Bull Kiteboarding event. Andys style of kitesurfing is like no other. It’s been described as “diverse, technical, inventive and whimsical”.
With his down to earth approach to life, decades of experience on the water and true passion to share his knowledge with others; you’ll be in good hands and picking up new skills in no time!

Kiteboarding 101
Andy will get you on the fast track to mastering the art of Kiteboarding. Learning how to become a good kiter is understanding 90% is kite control. With 20 years teaching, Andy has made this an easy process for his students. Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned rider; Andys mission is to help you learn with confidence and ease.
If you’re new to kiteboarding, the first lesson is generally land based; working on safety kite control. Andy believes allowing students to learn with minimum distraction and simulating water skills before entering the water is essential. By the second lesson, students are ready to hit the water! You’ll work on proper body dragging and board riding skills.
If you’re looking to sharpen your skills, Andy can teach you to jump, flip and feel confident out on the water. Each trick is broken down clearly to make your progression smooth and enjoyable. Andy demonstrates tricks both on land and in the water to help execrate progression. You will gain a clear understanding of each movement needed to get you to the next level in your riding.
