Sarah Janin is a full-time Certified American Mountain Guide based in Boulder, Colorado, guiding year-round throughout Rocky Mountain National Park and mountain ranges across the West. She is AMGA certified in Rock, Alpine, Ice, and Splitboarding disciplines, with Ski certification in progress.
She guides a wide range of objectives including alpine climbs, mountaineering routes, ice and rock climbing, and backcountry splitboard riding. In addition to guiding, Sarah is a lead avalanche educator for AIARE and AAI, teaching recreational courses focused on safe and efficient travel in winter terrain.
Sarah brings a strong foundation in risk management and medical care to every program. She is an EMT and Wilderness First Responder instructor with previous experience working on an ambulance in Vail.
She works with clients of all experience levels—from first days in the mountains to advanced technical objectives—and focuses on building skills, confidence, and efficient systems while creating safe, rewarding days outside.
