We are rich in history but are always looking to the future. Founded in 1948, we are one of the oldest ski shops in the country. We strive to be leaders and introduce our customers to the best services and products of today and tomorrow.
We are the home to Sun Valley Mountain Guides, a service that offers guided and instructional mountain biking and hiking as well as the only trailhead shuttle service (a.k.a. The Mountain Fairy) in the valley. Limiting the number of outings per day, SVMG matches the guest to the right guide to maximize the experience.
We are frequently voted to have the best customer service, best ski shop and best bike shop in the valley by ‘The Valley’s Best,’ an independent local survey. We are also commonly mentioned by various publications and websites as one of the top ski and bike shops in the country.

Terrain choices for our guided mountain biking excursions can vary from double track fire roads with flat to moderate grades great for families and beginners, to epic single track adventures with challenging climbs and adrenaline loaded descents for the more fit and adventurous.
