About

Paulo began mountain biking at the early age of 16, and soon his love for bicycles, road cycling, and mechanics were there. Almost a decade later, he decided to take the risk and become a bicycle mechanic, but he never stopped participating in granfondos and amateur races. He joined inGamba as a mechanic in 2019 and now he is also one of our guides.
Paulo has not recommended any gear yet.

Mont Ventoux Tour (2025)
“Like a dream.” That’s how Eros Poli describes his historic solo win over Mont Ventoux. A quarter of a century later, his courageous ride has become the stuff of legend, and it remains one of the most memorable stage victories in Tour de France history, a rare example of underdog success on one of the biggest climbs at the world’s biggest bike race.

We’re returning to that mountain to celebrate our man’s greatest success with a very special trip. The Ventoux is always a memorable climb, but riding up its slopes with someone who conquered it in such spectacular fashion, with the whole world watching, is a rare treat. This is your chance to relive the excitement and the emotions, to picture the mountain erupting with color and noise as Poli electrified the huge crowds, to experience one of cycling’s greatest challenges with the kind of insight, support and equipment that only inGamba can offer. We’ll also introduce you to a side of Provence that few visitors get to see. You’ll ride through hilltop towns and spectacular countryside, and indulge in the food and wine that has made this part of France so famous.

Costa Vicentina & Algarve Tour (2025)
When you imagine the Algarve, do you think of beautiful beaches and luxurious holidays? Well, it’s also a fantastic place for biking and exploration. Many of the inGamba team members, including guides, soigneurs and mechanics, call Portugal home. This special randonnée presents an opportunity for participants to benefit from their intimate knowledge and explore the Algarve.

Situated at the southernmost point of Portugal, the Algarve features sun-kissed, golden-sand beaches, whitewashed houses with Moorish terraces, and some of the finest food in the country. You can choose from dishes like tender stuffed squid, xerém (corn porridge with clams), juicy and sweet oysters and clams, and local vegetables and fruits like figs and oranges, as well as nuts and cheese.

Riding along the Algarve coast offers stunning views of cliffs, with elevations around 100 meters and climbs reaching up to 300 meters. However, the real magic lies further inland, where you’ll find some of Portugal’s best cycling routes. It’s no wonder the Volta ao Algarve returns here every year in February!

The Volta ao Algarve provides a major early test for the pro peloton, attracting some of the world’s best riders to its start line. It’s the perfect tune-up for one-day specialists ahead of the Spring Classics, while Grand Tour riders use it to shake off the winter rust. Packed with punchy finishes, a short time trial, and a little bit of everything for the diverse mix of stars in the line-up, this race is one exhilarating journey. You’ll have the opportunity to watch the pros in action and take on some of the same routes they ride. For instance, the Mount Fóia climb near Monchique is a regular feature in the race and is esteemed as the region’s most renowned climb. It’s 7.3 km long with an average gradient of 5.9% and is definitely a challenge worth embracing.
