About
The starting point was a simple question: What would a cyclist's perfect week look like?
Away from strict diets and schedules and training programs. Just the bike, a beautiful location and a bounty of the best local food and wine. That fantasy is now a reality. InGamba offers the equipment and support usually reserved for the sport’s elite athletes with the comfort and service of a luxury getaway. Then it takes that unique combination to some of the world’s most incredible locations before adding the most important ingredient of all: Fun.
An inGamba trip isn’t something you can recreate from a guidebook. We’ve lived our locations and worked with Grand Tour winners – and now we’re using that knowledge to create your dream vacation. This is cycling, but not as you know it. Get ready for an adventure.

Highway One Coast Ride
San Francisco, CA
We are back for the fall! Join us on this special ride and celebrate the end of the season in style and miles.
Back in the 1990s, a group of friends thought it would be a good idea to ride from San Francisco to Santa Barbara to kick off the cycling season. They were right. Ever since, the Coast Ride has become the unofficial start to the riding calendar for cyclists in the Bay Area, and for years we’ve enjoyed it as an important ritual on the road to springtime.
Now though, we do things a little differently to everyone else. We’ve fine-tuned the route to maximise enjoyment and hit some of our favorite spots along Highway One. It is still a point-to-point journey, so we ride rain or shine, but unlike the public event, this Coast Ride is now totally exclusive to inGamba, meaning it will just be us on the road with the full support of our mechanics and soigneurs. We’ve also picked a later date in the calendar to help with the weather.

Alentejo
Estremoz, Portugal
Much of the inGamba team of soigneurs and mechanics call Portugal home. This special trip is an opportunity to share their intimate knowledge and discover Alentejo, the sparsely populated, agrarian region known as Portugal’s breadbasket, that is also one of the world’s most charming and unique destinations. Alentejo is famous for rich, uncomplicated cooking and for its salt cod, sheep’s cheese, black pork, olive oils, mushrooms – and its wine. The region makes almost half of Portugal’s total, and in some neat synergy, it’s also the largest producer of cork in the world.

Discover Portugal
Caminha, Portugal
As a pro, Manuel Cardoso raced with some of the biggest names in cycling. He beat a few of them too. But long before he reached the professional peloton, his cycling journey began on the roads outside of Porto, where he rode as a boy and dreamed of reaching the big time. He’s ridden all over the world, but still believes that there’s nothing quite like his hometown routes, and so he designed this trip to share them with you.
Of course, it’s not just Manuel who hails from these parts. Several of our support team also call this place home, and they’ll be on hand to introduce you to a land that they hold dear to their hearts, guiding you towards all the best bits so that you can properly soak up the local culture. This special randonnée is an opportunity to share their intimate knowledge and discover one of the world’s most charming and unique destinations. We will skirt along the coastline, explore Medieval towns, and ride through the oldest village in Portugal, all while putting in plenty of miles and riding some of the most beautiful roads in Europe, embracing the “Mangia, Beve, Bici,” philosophy with a Portuguese twist.

Cycling Tour of Piedmont, Italy (2025)
Turin, Italty
Dominated by the Alps and riven by deep valleys, Piedmont — meaning ‘at the foot of the mountains’— is renowned for its fine wines and as a champion of the Slow Food movement. Our team has explored this corner of northwest Italy, fanning out from Turin to visit its wine villages and seek out the best places to stay.
Piedmont stretches northeast to the shores of Lake Maggiore and southwest to Provence in France, its hills dotted with medieval villages and family-run vineyards. Although Piedmont isn’t as well known a wine region as Tuscany, it produces some of Italy’s finest labels, such as Barolo and Barbaresco. Regional cuisine is also a highlight. Raw meats, cheese fondues and rabbit feature on local menus, while the smell of hazelnuts and chocolate wafts through the chocolate-producing town of Alba. Piedmont isn’t all rustic allure, though. At its heart is the city of Turin, the first capital of the unified Italy. Renaissance and Baroque architecture, museums and galleries, and gourmet restaurants grace its boulevards and piazzas, while giants of industry ensure that Piedmont remains one of Italy’s most affluent regions.

Bavarian Alp Tour (2025)
Munich, Germany
Schloss Elmau is an exceptional off-grid paradise. While it may appear to be a classic mountain resort, resembling a grand castle hotel from the outside, it is actually a modern luxury hotel that seamlessly blends old-world Bavarian charm with high-end luxury.
Home to an impressive concert hall and a magnificent spa, the hotel serves as a haven for culture and refinement. Its secluded location in the Wetterstein Mountains makes it the perfect starting point for exploring this incredibly romantic region. Originally constructed between 1914 and 1916 by a philosopher-writer (now owned and operated by his grandson), the Baroque castle boasts over 100 rooms, including a yoga retreat, a top-notch medical wing, and the ‘Badehaus’, a beautifully traditional spa featuring a variety of saunas, steam baths, and an oriental hammam—said to be one of the most glamorous west of Istanbul. While the therapists excel at detoxifying and invigorating treatments, what truly sets Schloss Elmau apart is its remarkable concert hall. Did you know that the G7 summit leaders have chosen this venue twice, in 2015 and 2022?
We are thrilled that the Schloss Elmau team has selected inGamba for this extraordinary trip. Join us and you’ll see that cycling in the Alps, through Bavaria, gives you a feeling reminiscent of The Sound of Music, with snow-capped mountains and crystal-clear lakes creating picturesque scenery. The rides include fantastic climbs and awe-inspiring alpine landscapes.

Strade Bianche Tour (2025)
Florence, Italy
Riders have been grinding gravel in Tuscany long before it became fashionable elsewhere. The region’s dusty backroads give an alternative view on this beautiful part of the world, and offer an enchanting glimpse into cycling’s golden age, when most bike races were run on unpaved roads and Fausto Coppi and Gino Bartali were Europe’s biggest sporting superstars.
This trip gives you the opportunity to not only ride the Gran Fondo on the Sunday, but also get motivated by watching the pros ride this spectacular race on the Saturday.
The famous Strade Bianche weave through the Tuscan countryside unnoticed by most travelers, but they’re treasured by those in the know. There are undulating swathes of ochre and olive in every direction, crumbling stone walls and cypress-lined narrow strips of powdery gravel, climbs that bake in the sun, exposed hilltops, and twisting descents through vineyards. In short, they’re the best way to explore this part of the Bel Paese.
We’ve called Chianti home for years and this trip combines the very best gravel roads we know with some of our all-time favorite routes in Tuscany, giving you the best of both worlds in one truly unforgettable package.

Classic Chianti Tour (2025)
Florence, Italy
This is our classic Tuscany trip, the culmination of all our local knowledge and a perfect expression of the Mangia, Beve, Bici experience. Back when he was still a professional cyclist, our founder, João Correia, sat outside the cafe that now faces our pristine service course, dreaming of sharing this incredible place with like-minded travelers. He knew that Tuscany’s unique blend of cuisine, culture and beautiful landscapes would resonate with other cyclists, and so inGamba was born.
Riding in Chianti is characterized by sweeping panoramas, winding ribbons of perfect tarmac, challenging climbs and thrilling descents. You can spend hours here without coming across other road users, and when you do, the locals are always friendly. In fact, it’s the people who give the place a lot of its charm, and over the course of your stay with us you’ll see why as you get to meet local artisans and culinary masters, all eager to give you a taste. Alentejo Tour (2025)
Lisbon, Portugal
Much of the inGamba team of soigneurs and mechanics call Portugal home. This special randonnée is an opportunity to share their intimate knowledge and discover Alentejo, the sparsely populated, agrarian region known as Portugal’s breadbasket, that is also one of the world’s most charming and unique destinations.
Alentejo is famous for rich, uncomplicated cooking and for its salt cod, sheep’s cheese, black pork, olive oils, mushrooms – and its wine. The region makes almost half of Portugal’s total, and in some neat synergy, it’s also the largest producer of cork in the world.
On this week-long, point-to-point odyssey you’ll get to know it intimately, all from the vantage point of your saddle. Starting in the ancient city of Comporta, we’ll wind our way through the unspoiled countryside toward Monsaraz, not far from the border with Spain. Nestled amongst the vast miles of oak trees, olive orchards and vineyards, this ancient village is regarded as one of the most beautiful in Portugal and is steeped in the history and culinary culture that makes Alentejo so irresistible.

The Hawaii of the Atlantic - Tour of the Azores (2025)
Ponta Delgada
Marooned 1,360km west of the Portuguese coast and 1,925km southeast of Newfoundland, Canada, the archipelago of Açores shelters a world of lush subtropical gorges, dazzling crater lakes and towering volcanic ridges, adrift in the crashing waves of the North Atlantic Ocean.
Tales of pirate attacks and mythical princesses are interwoven in the folklore of the islands, but the stories of visiting cyclists are only just beginning to be written. Revered as ‘the Hawaii of the Atlantic’ for its lavish beauty, the Azores is a cluster of nine volcanic islands that exists as an autonomous region of Portugal.
But the Azores isn’t a destination where cyclists come to retrace the training rides of pro cyclists – it’s a spectacular island arena that beckons you to uncover new adventures of your own. To cycle around its shipwreck-riddled coastline and jagged crater ridges feels like exploring a forgotten island paradise.
